Communion and Liberation Embraces Pope Francis’ Appeal

"I wish to assure my closeness to the people of the Philippines and of that region. They have been hit by a tremendous typhoon. Let us pray for a moment, in silence, and then to Our Lady, for these brothers and sisters of ours, and let us try to also give them concrete help. "

In response to Pope Francis’ appeal, Communion and Liberation is sponsoring an extraordinary collection of funds to benefit the people of the Philippines who have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

The funds collected will be used to participate in the Pope’s charity – through the Pontifical Council Cor Unum, he is supporting relief efforts for flood victims and the displaced – and for the necessities of the friends of the Movement who were affected by the typhoon.
